About

Hello! I'm Phillip, Landscape/Street photographer from North Texas.

I discovered photography around the age of 15 and played around with it through my high-school years.  It wasn’t until my sophomore year in college at the University of North Texas when I was praised by my professor and urged to hone my creative skills in the arts after working on a videography/photography assignment for a local news station.  After some years later, as an entrepreneur, small business owner and recording artist, I never looked at photography as a passion, but something I just “knew how to do” and supplemented as a skill in my other business ventures.  Now, in 2023, I have an entirely different outlook on photography and the joy it brings.

In a world where craft is associated with attention-span and how quickly things can be produced, photography has allowed me to appreciate even more as an artist the ability to be present; to slow down, and simply “be”. Be in the moment, enjoy the feelings of that moment and realizing how special it is to look back at a still-image that captures a memory and a feeling that can only be detailed by you and others who you’re luckily enough to experience them with.

I hope you enjoy my photography, as with this venture, I’m focusing on fine art photography and simply the “Art of Photography”, and ask you take a moment to slow down and enjoy what’s in front of you.
